Audio & Playback
Why are the beat sounds not in sync with the visual animation?
This may be caused by:
- Bluetooth devices: Bluetooth audio adds latency. We recommend using wired headphones or speakers
- Device performance: Older devices may experience slight delays
- Background running: Switching to other apps may affect audio priority
Recommendation: Use the device's built-in speaker or wired audio devices for best synchronization.
Why is there no sound when the app is in the background?
FlowBeats supports background audio. If there's no sound, please check:
- System volume: Make sure it's not muted
- Control Center: Check if background audio session was stopped
- System settings: Ensure background audio permission is enabled for FlowBeats
Why can't I hear any sound at all?
Please check the following:
- Silent switch: Check if the device's silent switch is on
- Volume: Adjust system volume, make sure it's not zero
- Bluetooth devices: If connected, check if the correct output device is selected
- Restart app: Fully close the app and reopen it

Why can't I delete a preset?
If a preset is referenced by a practice, it cannot be deleted.
Solution:
- Find the practice that references this preset
- Edit the practice to remove the reference
- Then delete the preset
Permissions
Why does the app need camera permission?
Only for scanning QR codes to import presets.
FlowBeats does not take photos or collect any image data.
Why does the app need photo library permission?
Used for the following features:
- Recognizing QR code images to import presets
- Saving preset share cards to your photo library
FlowBeats does not read other photos.
What if I don't grant these permissions?
Not granting camera or photo library permissions doesn't affect core functionality. You just won't be able to use QR code import/export features.
You can still import presets by copying and pasting rhythm codes.
