Welcome to FlowBeats! This is a practice tool designed for musicians, combining a metronome, chord progressions, and practice flow management in one app.

What FlowBeats Can Do

FlowBeats helps you:

  • Build Timing: Develop precise rhythm sense with a professional metronome
  • Program Beats: Design custom rhythm patterns with a visual sequencer
  • Practice Harmony: Practice melodies or improvise over chord progressions
  • Organize Sessions: Combine multiple sections into complete practice or performance flows

Interface Overview

When you open the app, you'll see four mode icons at the bottom:

Your First Session

1. Start the Beat

  1. Open the app - you'll land on the Rhythm page
  2. Tap the Play button ▶ in the center
  3. You'll hear the beat and see the visual rhythm display

2. Adjust Tempo

  • Rotate: Slide on the BPM knob
  • Precise Input: Tap the BPM number to enter an exact value
  • Tap Tempo: Tap the Tap button to detect tempo manually

3. Switch Presets

  1. Tap the preset name at the top (e.g., "Basic")
  2. Select a different preset from the list
  3. Each preset has its own rhythm pattern, time signature, and sound kit

4. Program Rhythm

  1. Tap cells in the sequencer grid
  2. Lit cells trigger sounds at their positions
  3. Different tracks represent different sounds (kick, snare, hi-hat, etc.)
  4. Tap track names on the left to preview sounds
