Playback and sound
Why do I hear no sound during playback?
Check device volume, the in-app volume setting, and whether the device is muted.
What should I do if audio feels delayed?
Adjust delay compensation in the sequencer settings. Increase the value if audio is late; decrease it if audio plays too early. Range: 0-1000 ms.
Tempo and meter
What is the fastest way to set BPM?
Use Tap tempo to detect BPM from repeated taps. For precise entry, tap the BPM number and type a value directly. Range: 10-300 BPM.
What are subdivisions?
Subdivisions control how many hits happen inside one beat. Quarter = 1, eighth = 2, triplet = 3, sixteenth = 4. Spoken count mode disables subdivisions.
Presets and sharing
How do I share a rhythm?
Open the menu, choose Share, then export either a preset code or a QR code. The recipient can import it from the menu.
What is a preset code?
It is an encoded text string that stores BPM, time signature, sound selection, and rhythm pattern data. You can share it through any messaging channel.
Why can’t I delete a preset?
Presets referenced by a song cannot be deleted until the song no longer uses them.
Stage mode
How many songs can I create?
Up to 10 songs, with up to 8 segments in each song.
Can I edit rhythms inside stage mode?
No. The rhythm grid in stage mode is read-only. Exit to the metronome page to edit presets.
Will tapping back interrupt a performance?
No. If playback is active, you must explicitly confirm before stopping and leaving stage mode.
Why does the screen stay awake in stage mode?
Stage mode disables screen locking to keep the display visible during live performance and restores normal behavior when you leave.
Other
Will the screen turn off automatically?
No during playback. Screen locking is disabled while the metronome is running and restored afterward.

FlowBeats requires iOS 17.0 or later and supports iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Mac.
